Vine is Impressed

It's been a good 5 days since Vine came out, and there is a lot of good stuff online (amidst a lot of rubbish, of course). The Vine team have been keeping an eye out, and have blogged about a few notable vids they've noticed - take a look at their blog and see what's caught their eye!

Not So Smooth Sailing

Just over a day old, and Vine seems to be having a couple of issues. Yesterday a little after launch, the app has had to disable sharing to Twitter and FB over some bugs. A few other bugs here and there have plagued the launch, and although the app was generally well received otherwise, the problems haven't stopped.

Facebook decided to block access via Vine to it's network. Now we understand the competition between Facebook and Twitter, and the fact that Twitter owns Vine might make things a little edgy, but get over yourselves guys. We're just trying to enjoy a few apps here.

Either way, things seem to be stabilizing and hopefully over the short term these little kinks will get ironed out. We're looking forward to a whole lot of Vining to come!

So what's this "Vine" thing?

Vine is the new Twitter-acquired video platform, launched on the 24th of January 2013, and we think it's going to change the way we interact. In the same way that the 140 character tweet changed our world, we expect Vines to change the internet, again.

So what is a vine exactly? Simply put, it is the video version of a tweet. You have 6 seconds to put anything you want on video, with audio.

Twist? You can also pause the video and continue as many times as you want during those 6 seconds.

Result? A pretty light platform where people's creativity can go wild.

The Vine app has been launched only yesterday, but we've already seen a ton of cool ways in which users are 'Vining'. We're here to compile the best and most creative Vine's around. We'll also be looking at updates on the service, analyze the ways to best use it for your business, or even personally. Sign up and keep updated!
